CreateAthon AZ 2020 Team Lead Form

We are thrilled you are interested in participating in CreateAthon AZ 2020.

This form is for creative team lead volunteers, those doing 24-hours of design work. If you are unable to attend for 24-hours, please consider volunteering for our Event Team or Documentation Team (email designforgood@arizona.aiga.org).

We will put you on a team with a co-lead, 3–7 other people, and your team will pair with 1 nonprofit to support. You’ll receive a confirmation email once teams are selected.

• To build great teams it takes great leaders. If you want to be very involved and lead your team’s charge, this is for you! It is a great position for experienced Creative Directors, Strategists, and Project Managers. This role will require additional time, participation, and responsibilities. There will be two leads assigned to each team. They will be responsible for communicating any information between AIGA Arizona staff, team members and their selected non-profits. Once team leads are selected and notified on October 24, they will be required to connect with and develop a creative brief with their appointed non-profit. The following week, team leads will participate in a team selection meeting that determines what skills and volunteers will best fit the needs of the brief. All team members and team leads are expected to stay through the full 24-hours on Saturday, December 5. Team leads will work with their teams to provide a brief summary and presentation of what their team accomplished at the end of the CreateAthon. Team leads will provide a follow-up review to AIGA Arizona 2-3 months after CreateAthon, on what the non-profits used or found successful, as well as what they may not have used.   • I understand that I am committing to stay and work on this project for the full 24-hours with my CreateAthon AZ team between the hours of 10:00am on Saturday, December 5, 2020, and 10:00am on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
  • I will meet with my appointed non-profit sometime between October 25 and November 9, (before the starting date mentioned above) to gather additional information and to develop the creative brief for the team selection meeting November 10, 2020.
  • I will be available the evening of Tuesday, November 24, 2020, from 6pm - 8pm to attend a kick-off event.
  • I understand I will be expected to follow up with the non-profit and provide a follow-up review to AIGA Arizona within 2-3 months after CreateAthon 2020.
  • I understand that all work completed is the creative property of CreateAthon and any third parties that contribute to the project such as designers, photographers, illustrators, etc., thus allowing for any use of the work in promotional work and documentation for CreateAthon.
  • I understand the loss of even one teammate can hurt a team's success in delivering everything promised to their nonprofit partner. If I need to request to be removed from the participant list, I will do so before November 6.
